Adventure Mode Tips
Adventure Mode is a core part of the game when you first start. Adventure mode is where you advance through different maps and levels, fighting bosses, and gathering resources. This is also a really great way to get weapons, hero recruitment shards, diamonds etc.
Progression
To unlock a new world or map, you typically need to complete the previous one 100%. This involves finding all chests and completing all challenges on the map. You can track your progress via an icon at the bottom-left of the screen.
Auto-Collection & Penalties
A useful feature is that any materials or weapons left on the ground are automatically collected when you win a level. However, be aware that if you quit a level manually or lose and retry, you will forfeit any materials you've collected in that attempt. The only way to keep your materials is to win.
Boss Strategy
It is often a good strategy to save your special abilities or "special meter" for the final blow on a boss, as this can sometimes yield extra rewards.
Season-Specific Adventure Mode Details
Season 1
Season 1 features maps such as the Hellforge Map and the Pixie Ruins Map. Some of the difficult bosses to defeat in this season include the Spectral Dragon, Pyromancer, and Dune Devourer. Season 1 will remain available even after Season 2 has started.
Season 2
Season 2 introduces the Ember of the Frozen Flame shop. When progressing, prioritize acquiring decorations from this shop, as they provide increases to march size, soldier HP, and soldier attack. A major focus of Season 2 is on using heroes from the same faction, so build your teams accordingly.
Decoration Item Locations
Decorations are special items you can find to customize your kingdom, often providing valuable bonuses. Here are some known locations.
- Lush Green Fern: Found in a thick forest, in the corner just south of portal 3-2.
- Mushroom: Near the Lush Green Fern, just north of the boss near portal 3-2.
- Banyan Tree: In the Dark Forest area, by portal 4-4, near the third boss.
- Skull Loot: In the Dark Forest, near portal 4-4, to the south of the map in a corner.
- Road Sign: In the Wild West, just north and a little east of the boss near portal 3-4.
- Pumpkin Head: Found between portals 8-2 and 8-3.
- Morning Glory: This decoration is located behind a boss.
- Gold Boxes, Trees, and Bushes: Keep an eye out for gold boxes and unusually tough trees/bushes, as they can also drop decor boxes.
